This in-person American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform strong and effective chest compressions, give rescue breaths, and use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) early in a crisis. The course follows the latest science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
This course is for healthcare professionals and anyone who needs to know how to perform CPR and basic lifesaving skills in both medical facilities and out-of-hospital settings, such as clinics, care centers, and emergency scenes.
